Reflection on 100 Days of Happiness

Today marks the 100th day of me finding one thing each day that makes me happy.  I absolutely loved doing this.  Some days between cleaning up messes, changing diapers, running a business and attempting some fun activities it can become overwhelming.  Doing this forced me to take a step back and see just how much I have sitting right in front of me that, on most days, I don't even notice.

Ironically, today is June 30th.  My 100th day of happiness falls on a date that 3 years ago we found out about Mia's heart defect.  That day, I remember feeling as though there was nothing in the world that could make me happy.  Today, 3 years later, I see that I have cataloged 100 happy things and there are so many more that I didn't take a picture of.  3 years ago, I wasn't sure if my baby girl was going to survive.  Today she is thriving and my family is living an amazing life full of happiness.

There are small things all around us that make us happy.  We just have to open our eyes to see them.  I'm so glad I did for 100 days and will continue to do so moving forward.
